Goa Rental Requirements & Documents
Simple, standard documentation required to take handover of self-drive vehicles in Goa.
1. Valid Driving Licence (Original / Digilocker)
The primary driver must produce an original valid Indian Driving Licence (LMV for cars, MCWG/MCWOG for two-wheelers). International tourists must provide a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their domestic driver's licence.
2. Government Photo Identity Proof
Original Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID is required for verification at the time of vehicle handover.
3. Minimum Age Requirement
Minimum age to rent self-drive cars is 21 years with at least 1 year of driving experience. For two-wheelers, the minimum age is 18 years.
4. Refundable Security Deposit
A modest refundable security deposit (varies from ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 depending on vehicle category) is held during the trip and refunded via UPI/Cash immediately upon vehicle return in good condition.
