1. Strictly Zero Tolerance for Drink & Driving
Goa Traffic Police actively deploy breathalyzer checkpoints across Calangute, Candolim, Panaji, Baga, and highway toll zones. Driving under the influence carries steep fines (up to ₹10,000), immediate court summon, and suspension of licence. If consuming alcohol, always book an AC taxi cab with us.
2. Mandatory Helmets for Both Rider & Pillion
Under Motor Vehicles Act enforcement in Goa, both the primary rider and the pillion passenger MUST wear ISI-marked helmets on two-wheelers. We provide 2 clean, sanitized helmets with every scooter and bike rental.
3. Driving on Beaches is Strictly Prohibited & Illegal
Never drive any car, SUV, 4x4 Thar, or bike onto beach sand. The Goa Tourism Department and Police strictly seize vehicles caught on beaches and register non-bailable FIRs with penalties upwards of ₹50,000.
4. Speed Limits & Ghat Road Safety
Goa highways (NH 66 / NH 748) have speed limits strictly monitored by AI radar cameras (usually 70-80 km/h on highways, 30-40 km/h in village and coastal zones). Exercise extra caution on narrow village roads and winding ghat sections.
5. Seatbelts for All Front and Rear Passengers
All occupants in self-drive cars must buckle seatbelts at all times when the vehicle is in motion.
