01
General Rental Agreement & Contractual Lease Framework
Welcome to the formal legal statutes and custody charters of Go Goa Car Booking. By initiating an online booking, submitting a reservation sheet on our digital website portals, completing registration at our physical counters (including Manohar International Airport Mopa Counter 15 and Dabolim Airport delivery terminals), or signing the mechanical logistics handover register, you acknowledge and accept these terms. This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between the primary individual renter (constituted as the "Lessee" or "Customer") and Go Goa Car Booking (constituted as the "Lessor", "Company", or "We"). Renting a self-drive car is an exercise in mutual civil trust. This contract establishes that our vehicle inventory is leased strictly for temporary transport, and maximum operational custody is transferred to the Lessee for the duration specified.
The legal lifecycle begins the moment the keys are delivered. Our terminal dispatch assistants operate a transparent physical inspection routine. Prior to every dispatch, our team documents fuel capacity levels, visible panel scratches, tyre tread markings, dashboard alerts, internal upholstery conditions, and standard toolkit structures (including the spare wheel and mechanical jack). This data is written onto a detailed physical custody check sheet. We request all clients to actively join this verification process, capture high-definition mobile walkthrough videos, and take close-up photos of all vehicle panels. By driving the vehicle away from our airport desks or local delivery drop-offs, the Customer confirms that the machine is in excellent structural, mechanical, and safe running condition. The physical custody sheet serves as the baseline logic for the checkout process at the end of the trip.
The Renter agrees to operate our vehicles with the same care and consideration they would apply to their personal properties on public state roads. The leased vehicle is intended exclusively for private non-commercial tourist sightseeing, family trips, airport transfers, and general leisure travel. Renter agrees that the vehicle will not be used under any circumstances to tow or push other vehicles, participate in street speed races, transport heavy freight loads, carry items that exceed legal carrier guidelines, or carry out passenger transport services for profit. Smoking of tobacco products, heated vapes, or hookahs inside our hatchbacks, Mahindra Thars, SUVs, and luxury cabins is strictly forbidden. This preserves a completely allergen-free, fresh-smelling environment for all health-conscious travelers. Any detected smoke residue or ash marks will automatically activate a flat detailing fee of ₹3,000 deducted directly from the security balance.
Additionally, this framework defines the absolute boundaries of our administrative liability. Go Goa Car Booking makes every effort to provide pristine, perfectly maintained, and premium vehicles to prevent travel disruptions. However, we cannot be held financially responsible for itinerary alterations, delays, or missed activities caused by external events. These include flight disruptions, local public transport strikes, political blockades near Mandovi bridges, adverse weather, or road detours. Renter understands that our fleet represents significant business investments. Any continuous operational abuse—such as ignoring engine warning dashboard indicators, driving with a flat tyre, slipping the clutch excessively, or pushing engines beyond safe redlines—is monitored through onboard telemetry and represents a breach of contract. Such breaches can lead to immediate vehicle recovery, forfeiture of the security deposit, and termination of the lease contract without refunds.
02
KYC Documentations, Verification Protocols & Driver Eligibility
Operating a self-drive vehicle on public, state-managed high roads inside India is a statutory privilege that requires verified driving credentials. To ensure complete alignment with local transport rules, Go Goa Car Booking maintains a thorough, multi-factor KYC (Know Your Customer) verification protocol. This protocol is completed prior to key handover. The primary lessee and any additionally declared co-drivers must fulfill these rules in full. Letting an unregistered, unverified individual drive our self-drive car is an immediate violation of our lease conditions. Doing so nullifies third-party insurance protections, making the primary renter personally liable for all civil claims, city penalties, and vehicular damage.
Our minimum age standards are structured by vehicle performance caps. For basic economic self-drive hatchbacks (such as the Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20, or Baleno) and standard compact sedans (such as the Maruti Dzire), the driving age minimum is strictly fixed at 21 years of age. For intermediate categories—including our manual and automatic off-road 4x4 Mahindra Thar series, mid-size SUVs (like the Scorpio-N, Hyundai Creta, or Kia Seltos), and robust family vehicles (like the Toyota Innova Crysta or Maruti Ertiga)—the age floor rises to 24 years of age. To book premium high-end convertibles and performance luxury classes (such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz), drivers must be at least 26 years of age and show at least three years of active, claim-free driving history.
Domestic citizens visiting Goa must present a valid, unexpired physical Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license. This license must be issued by a state-recognized Regional Transport Office (RTO) inside the Republic of India. We welcome and accept digital driving licenses retrieved and shown live through the government's official DigiLocker application. However, we cannot accept laminated paper printouts, low-resolution WhatsApp scans, screenshots, or licenses with expired dates. Alongside a valid driving license, domestic guests must present a matching secondary identity confirmation. We accept original Aadhaar Cards, Passports, or Voter ID cards. Company business cards, local gym enrollments, or local hotel keys are not acceptable identification options.
International travelers must provide their country's original license alongside an active, unexpired International Driving Permit (IDP). This permit must be issued by a recognized domestic transport authority according to UN road traffic conventions. If your home country is a non-signatory, you must acquire an endorsement seal from your origin embassy or local consulate in India. International guests must also present an original passport with a valid holiday tourist or business visa stamp. A matching photocopy of these papers is securely filed in our client records database for RTO compliance. We reserve the absolute right to cancel any reservation if documentation appears suspicious, contains spelling discrepancies, or suggests proxy booking activities.
03
Refundable Security Deposit, Payment Rules & Safe Refunding
To manage potential road risks, parking violations, minor scratches, and fuel discrepancies, Go Goa Car Booking requires a standard refundable security deposit before physical handovers. This secure financial holding acts as a reliable bond during your travels. We pride ourselves on operating a transparent and fast deposit management system, with clear records and zero arbitrary deductions.
Our security deposits are classified into three distinct categories based on vehicle book values and maintenance costs. For standard hatchbacks and small sedans, the security deposit is set at ₹3,000 to ₹5,000. For mid-range vehicles, including our Mahindra Thar off-roaders and family SUVs, the holding is ₹5,000 to ₹10,000. Our luxury class convertibles and premium executive vehicles (BMW, Audi, Mercedes) require a premium security deposit tier of ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. Renter accommodates these amounts before departure.
Payment can be completed through multiple convenient channels. We support instant UPI transfers (via GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), cash payments at our airport desks, and standard credit card pre-authorization holds. When paying via UPI or cash, our team issues an automated digital voucher receipt to your mobile numbers. For bank credit card pre-authorizations, a temporary hold is placed on your card balance. This hold is not a charge and does not accrue interest. It is released back to your card once the checkout process is completed at the end of the trip.
Refunds are processed based on the condition of the vehicle at return. When you return your self-drive hatchback, Thar, or SUV, our diagnostics clerk completes a thorough inspection. This check focuses on five critical areas: (1) paint panels for deep scratches or dents; (2) wheels and rims for rim scuffs or tyre punctures; (3) interior cabin cleanliness, including excessive sand, mud, or food stains; (4) electronic components, and (5) fuel-level indicators. If the vehicle is returned in the same condition as received, the deposit is refunded immediately on the spot. Cash and UPI deposits are processed within 15 minutes of return, while credit card holds are voided at our terminal, with the frozen funds typically reappearing on your ledger card within 3 to 7 business days depending on your bank's policies.
04
Speed Limits, GPS Telemetry Tracking & Speeding Surcharges
Your safety is our highest priority. Goa's coastal roads are scenic and rewarding to drive, but they also feature narrow stretches, tight curves around old villages, high-pedestrian coastal markers, and unexpected crossings near popular beaches. Safe, defensive driving ensures a fantastic vacation. To protect passengers, conserve fuel, and reduce mechanical wear and tear, Go Goa Car Booking keeps all vehicles equipped with high-performance GPS trackers. These trackers monitor speed metrics and coordinates in real-time.
We align our speed rules with the traffic mandates issued by the Goa Traffic Police. On major national and state highways—including the NH-66 corridor connecting North and South Goa, the Zuari Bridge lanes, and the Mandovi bypass routes—the maximum speed limit is strictly capped at 80 km/h. On internal village streets, crowded beach roads (connecting Calangute, Baga, Candolim, Anjuna, and Vagator), and municipal urban areas (Panaji, Mapusa, Margao), the speed limit is capped between 40 km/h and 50 km/h.
Our GPS units feature built-in audible warnings. If a vehicle exceeds 80 km/h, a gentle beeping reminder sounds in the cabin, signaling you to reduce speed. If the driver ignores this cabin beep and continues to drive above the speed limit, a temporary three-strike system is activated. The first two strikes trigger automated text warnings to your mobile phone. A third consecutive violation (sustaining a speed of 85 km/h or higher for more than 10 continuous seconds) is recorded as a contract violation.
Each subsequent over-speeding event logged past the third strike triggers a flat penalty of ₹1,000, which is deducted from your security deposit balance. This fee covers the increased wear on braking pads, suspension components, and automatic gearboxes. Extreme speeding (above 100 km/h) or reckless maneuvers—such as high-speed cornering, street racing, or off-road drifting—will trigger a remote mobilization lockout. This allows our assistance team to reach your location, recover the vehicle, and terminate the lease contract for safety reasons, without refunds.
05
Fuel Policy (Out-to-Out / Same-to-Same Fuel Matching)
At Go Goa Car Booking, we operate a simple, transparent fuel policy designed to ensure you only pay for the exact volume of fuel you consume during your travels in Goa. We do not apply inflated pre-paid fuel charges or hidden service fees. Instead, we use an honest, straightforward Same-to-Same Fuel Policy (also referred to as Out-to-Out fuel protocol). This guarantees a fair, equivalent match for both the guest and the company.
When our representative delivers your car at the Mopa Airport Counter 15, Dabolim terminal, or your resort parking lot, the starting fuel level is recorded as a visual reference on the delivery docket. This includes both physical fuel bars on the dashboard and digital fuel percentage indicators. Customers are invited to capture close-up photos of the instrument cluster for their own records. Renter agrees to return the vehicle with the exact same level of fuel.
During your trip, you can refuel at any of the numerous government-authorized petrol stations across Goa. We recommend using established, high-volume fuel stations in central cities (such as Panaji, Mapusa, Calangute, Margao, and Vasco) to ensure clean, high-quality fuel. For diesel models, including our off-road automatic Mahindra Thar series and multi-purpose SUVs, you must ensure that only premium diesel fuel is added to the fuel tank. Adding petrol to a diesel engine is a severe mistake that can cause extensive mechanical fuel-injection failure. The cost of towing and flushing the fuel system due to incorrect fuel additions is the sole responsibility of the Customer.
Upon return, our checkout agent compares the fuel gauge against the starting level. If the level is matched, the docket is cleared. If the fuel level is lower, a fuel correction fee is calculated, based on the actual, current local fuel cost per liter in Goa to fill the missing bars, plus a flat refueling service handling charge of ₹300. This charge covers the logistical cost of sending our staff to the nearest airport petrol station to refuel the vehicle for the next booking. Please plan your refueling requirements carefully toward the end of your Goa trip, as we cannot offer refunds, bank deductions, or rental credits for any excess fuel left in the tank.
06
Detailed Insurance Coverage, Accidents & Damage Liabilities
All vehicles in our self-drive fleet are covered by comprehensive, multi-passenger commercial vehicle insurance policies. These policies provide deep structural coverage for third-party injury liabilities, property damage, and legal write-offs. However, self-drive rentals operate under unique regulatory guidelines. To protect our business viability and offer a reliable safety net for our tourists, Go Goa Car Booking enforces a clear, balanced damage assessment policy. This policy clearly defines the renter's maximum out-of-pocket exposure and the protocols that must be executed if any on-road incident takes place during your travels.
Our policy begins with a strict distinction between minor blemishes and major structural accidents. Minor damages are defined as cosmetic issues, including light bumper scratches (less than 6 inches in length), shallow door dents, cracked side views, or minor indicator lens breaks received while maneuvering through tight street lanes or hotel parking bays. For minor damages that cost up to or under ₹10,000 to repair, the adjustment is calculated based on authorized agency body-shop repair estimators. The final diagnostic amount is recovered directly from the Renter's security deposit or card hold. This standard procedure bypasses slow insurance surveys, ensuring that our customers are not subjected to long, stressful legal delays.
Major body and chassis structural damages are defined as complex collision events resulting in broken panels, airbag deployment, suspension misalignment, headrest deformations, or structural engine compartment adjustments. If a major collision occurs, the customer's maximum financial liability is capped strictly at ₹15,000 for standard standard hatchbacks, compact sedans, and SUVs. This liability cap represents your maximum physical insurance deductible co-pay block, provided that you immediately report the incident, secure a legally required First Information Report (FIR) from the local Goan police authority, and cooperate fully with our insurance surveyors.
In addition to the standard deductible cap, the Renter are liable to pay vehicle garage downtime charges in major collision cases. When a vehicle undergoes heavy structural repairs at an authorized dealership, it cannot be rented out to other tourists. This idle phase causes significant commercial loss to our operations. Under our guidelines, the customer is responsible for covering these downtime charges, which are calculated at 50% of the vehicle’s standard daily base rental rate. These charges are capped up to a maximum of 5 calendar repair days, or until the official insurance assessor issues the final survey clearance block to commence work.
Renter must understand that our comprehensive commercial insurance protection is legally null and void under specific, severe contract breach exclusions. These exclusions are strictly targeted at preventing illegal, reckless, or negligent operations. Insurance is voided completely, and the Renter assumes 100% personal, unlimited, and direct financial responsibility to repair the vehicle or handle third-party claims, if: (a) the vehicle was driven under the active influence of alcohol, narcotics, prescription sleep inducers, or other recreational compounds; (b) the car was piloted by an unregistered, unlicensed, or under-age driver; or (c) the vehicle was driven inside prohibited marine zones, coastal beaches, sandbars, or active rivers.
If an accident occurs, our support team is available 24/7 to guide you. You must contact our helpline at +916287168544 immediately to report the event. Renter is strictly forbidden from attempting to dry-hire local roadside mechanics or apply cheap local paints to cover up minor dents before return. Safe, reliable motoring remains our goal. By reporting incidents immediately, cooperating with local authorities, and adhering to our damage policies, we ensure that both our customers and our high-end self-drive fleets remain protected.
07
Permitted Territories, Interstate Boundaries & Ignition Lockouts
Goa is a vibrant state offering thousands of gorgeous coastal destinations, ancient churches, spice plantations, and hiking spots. However, its small geographical footprint means that its border crossings are highly monitored by adjacent states. To stay compliant with Indian commercial road transport permit laws, our self-drive vehicle fleet’s standard operations are strictly restricted. Unless you have obtained explicit, written pre-approval from our corporate office and paid the required multi-state tourist permit levies, all our self-drive cars are designated for use inside the official territorial state boundaries of Goa only.
The state of Goa is enveloped by Maharashtra to the North (with prominent checkposts like Sawantwadi, Patradevi, and Kudal) and Karnataka to the East and South (with key transit points like Karwar, Kulem, and Polem crossings). Driving standard black-and-yellow tourist commercial vehicles across state borders without registering transport permit documents and paying entry taxes triggers immediate legal violations. Out-of-state regional police are authorized to seize self-drive vehicles operating without permit paperwork, imposing heavy state court fines on the lease operator.
To enforce this boundary limit, our GPS telematics units are configured with an advanced, automated geofencing framework. If a self-drive vehicle approaches within 2 kilometers of any interstate border checkpost without prior permit registration, our server instantly transmits automated SMS and phone alerts to the driver, advising of the impending boundary violation. If the driver ignores these warnings and continues to cross the state border line, the GPS telematics module triggers an Automated Remotely Managed Ignition Lockout. Once the vehicle's engine is turned off out-of-bounds, the remote immobilizer prevents restart.
Crossing state borders without prior permission is treated as a major breach of contract. An out-of-bounds penalty fine of ₹10,000 will be instantly assessed against the renter's deposit to cover the significant administrative expenses, state border taxes, and coordination efforts required by our dispatch desk. In addition, the Renter is solely responsible for paying any local border towing fees, RTO clearance charges, and transit taxes. If the vehicle is detained or locked out by border authorities, the contract remains active, and the standard daily rental rate accumulates until the car is returned to our base.
If you wish to travel beyond Goa's borders (such as booking a weekend excursion to the ancient temples of Gokarna, the waterfalls of Jog, or the historic fortresses of Sawantwadi or Sindhudurg), simply inform our booking desk in advance. We possess a dedicated class of multi-state permitted vehicles that can navigate across regional borders without friction. Our team will file the required interstate transport taxes and supply you with physical permit booklets. This minor preparation ensures that your long-distance coastal cruise remains completely smooth, legal, and free from any unexpected border delays.
By cooperating with our territory policies, you help us maintain complete regulatory compliance across our fleet. Always monitor your route maps when navigating close to boundary checkposts, ignore suspicious beach shortcuts that lead across remote rural state boundaries, and keep your travels centered inside Goa. Goa has hundreds of hidden waterfalls, pristine beaches, and mountain passes to satisfy even the most adventurous spirit!

Digital Privacy Core, GPS Tracking, Telemetry Log, & Information Security
At Go Goa Car Booking, we are fully committed to protecting your personal data, online privacy, and digital space. Operating a modern car rental agency requires collecting and processing essential operational metrics. We believe in providing clear communication regarding what data is collected, how it is handled, and the security systems we use to protect your records. This privacy section is aligned with standard data protection codes and electronic media policies in India.
When you interact with our website, our servers automatically log essential technical details. This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, visited pages, and referral URLs. This information is processed strictly to analyze traffic spikes, optimize mobile performance, and improve our digital quote forms. We utilize standard cookies (small text files saved on your devices) to remember your pickup and drop-off coordinates, selected car options, and calculation data inside our form. This ensures you do not have to fill out the form multiple times on repeat visits. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may cause some web page features to function slower.
To complete a physical car booking, we collect personal contact details, including full names, mobile phone numbers, email addresses, flight details, and matching identification credentials (such as Aadhaar files or passports). This information is encrypted and stored in secure database structures with restricted access. We never sell, rent, or share your contact info or personal identification records with third-party advertising companies. Your records are accessed strictly by our office team to confirm reservations, verify licenses, submit RTO dockets, and process security deposits.
Our active vehicles are equipped with GPS telemetry units. These devices log location coordinates, velocities, heading vectors, hard brake applications, acceleration metrics, and total run duration. Telemetry data is analyzed by our safety algorithms to monitor speeding (over 80 km/h) and trigger boundary alerts near interstate borders. It is also used to locate the vehicle in the event of theft, mechanical break-down, or road accidents. This tracking data is deleted from our active servers after 30 days, unless a dispute, accident, or unpaid traffic fine requires retaining it for legal review.
Renter is fully entitled to request access to their stored personal data, correct spelling mistakes, or request the complete deletion of their contact files from our marketing logs. If you have questions about our digital privacy terms, GPS telemetry processes, or data storage, please feel free to reach out to our team at support@gogoacarbooking.in.

Booking Cancellations, Rental Slashes, & No-Show Policy
Travel plans can sometimes change unexpectedly due to flight updates, weather alerts, or modified family itineraries. To accommodate these changes while maintaining smooth logistical planning across our fleet, Go Goa Car Booking enforces a clear, structured cancellation and refund policy. This policy ensures complete transparency and helps us manage our vehicle inventory efficiently for all guests.
When you make a reservation on our platform, we allocate a specific vehicle to your scheduled slot, taking it out of general circulation. If a cancellation is requested with at least 24 hours of warning before the scheduled delivery time, we issue a 100% complete refund of any advance booking fees. The refund is processed back to your origin payment method (bank account or UPI wallet) within 3 to 5 business days, with zero cancellation fees or processing deductions.
For cancellation requests received with less than 24 hours of warning, a 50% cancellation fee is applied to the advance payment. This fee helps cover the logistical cost of preparing and staging the vehicle for dispatch. For cancellations received after the scheduled pickup time, or in cases of a "No-Show" (where a guest does not arrive or notify us within 3 hours after their slated pickup slot), the advance booking token is non-refundable. Under such circumstances, the reservation is canceled to allow other tourists to rent the vehicle.
Please note that our standard cancellation rules may vary during premium peak-season periods. These periods include the high-demand winter phase (typically from December 15 through January 5), during which advance holiday deposits are non-refundable. This is due to the extremely high tourism demand across Goa. If your travel plans are disrupted by certified flight cancellations or airline changes at Manohar International Airport or Dabolim, please share the verified airline notices with our helpdesk. We will accommodate these changes by modifying your vehicle pickup slot or issuing a credit voucher for your next trip, free of any penalties.

Goa RTO Guidelines, Traffic Regulations & Public Road Codes
Driving in Goa is a delightful experience, but it requires strict adherence to local road safety rules and regulatory transport codes. The Goa Traffic Police and the Regional Transport Office (RTO) carry out active road compliance checks near tourist hubs (including Calangute, Panaji, Candolim, Baga, and airport toll gates). Operating a commercial self-driver yellow-and-black plate car legally requires observing these local codes.
Seat belts are mandatory for the driver and front-seat passenger on all roads in Goa. Front seatbelt violations trigger immediate, state-standard fines. Using a mobile phone while driving (even for navigation, unless the device is secured in a dashboard cradle) is strictly illegal and subject to heavy penalties by traffic authorities. We also enforce a **zero-tolerance policy for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics**. Goa's police frequently set up night checkpoints with breathalyzers near major beach corridors. Driving with blood alcohol concentrations above legal limits will result in immediate vehicle impoundment, court appearances, and the complete nullification of insurance protections.
Renter is fully responsible for parking correctly in authorized, municipal-marked spaces. Parking along double-yellow beach corridors, narrow bridges, or on private village property can lead to police towing or clamping, with municipal release fines exceeding ₹2,000. Additionally, please observe round-about right-of-way rules. Vehicles already inside Panaji or Mapusa traffic circles have right of way; entering drivers must yield. By respecting these RTO and traffic rules, you protect yourself from traffic penalties, ensure your family remains safe, and enjoy a seamless driving experience during your holiday.
11
Strict Beach Driving Bans, Sand Dune Protection, & Ecosystem Safety
Goa's gorgeous beaches (such as Baga, Calangute, Candolim, Morjim, Mandrem, and Palolem) are delicate natural habitats, protected under central coastal zone regulations. Driven by the Goa Tourism Department and local municipal councils, **the driving of any private or rental vehicle on the beach is strictly illegal and deeply hazardous**. Our automatic Mahindra Thars, SUVs, and high-performance cross-over vehicles are designed for paved roads and designated trails, and must never be driven onto the beach.
Driving on beach sand can cause vehicles to sink and become trapped as tides rise, leading to catastrophic seawater engine damage. More importantly, driving on the beach poses high risks to sunbathing tourists, endangers marine turtle nesting zones (especially in Morjim and Galgibaga), and damages sensitive sand dunes. The Government of Goa levies severe legal penalties—with **fines up to ₹50,000** and court prosecutions—for any individual caught driving on the beach.
Our GPS geolocators monitor all coastlines and protected beach zones. If a vehicle crosses the boundary onto beach sand, a major alarm is triggered at our control center. Our team will contact the driver immediately and implement a remote ignition lockout to secure the vehicle. The renter assumes full personal responsibility for any government fines, ecological restoration costs, or seawater towing damage caused by beach driving. We ask all our guests to support Goa's local ecosystem by parking in designated lots and enjoying the beautiful beaches on foot.

Legal Jurisdictions, Disputes Resolutions, & Arbitration Statutes
This rental terms contract and privacy policy is governed strictly by the state laws of Goa and the federal statutes of the Republic of India. In the rare event of a dispute, difference, or claim arising during your booking, both the Renter and Go Goa Car Booking agree to make every effort to resolve the matter through amicable discussion and mutual compromise with our counter managers.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, the matter will be referred to formal arbitration in accordance with the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act of 1996. The arbitration process will be conducted by a single, neutral arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement. The physical venue of the arbitration meetings will be strictly in Panaji, Goa. The proceedings will be held in English, and the arbitration award will be final, binding, and conclusive for both parties.
If any legal court filings are necessary, both parties agree to submit exclusively to the jurisdiction of the civil courts in Panaji, North Goa district. The prevailing party in any legal action is entitled to recover reasonable legal fees and administrative costs. This document represents the entire agreement between the Renter and Go Goa Car Booking, superseding any prior verbal discussions or emails. If you have any questions or require clarification regarding these terms, please contact our legal desk at support@gogoacarbooking.in before departing on your journey.
